At Playhouse Preschool we aim to provide a safe, well supervised, friendly and stimulating environment for children to learn, explore and develop through play.

We are an inclusive setting. We value and celebrate differences and encourage children to be individuals. We welcome all families and enjoy learning about others.

We are a sessional preschool based in the Allington Community Association.

Opening in 2012 we are an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ preschool.

During sessions we use a large hall, a small hall and a fenced off outdoor patio area. We are lucky to be situated in the grounds of a large field and wooded area which we use regularly and in all weathers!

The centre has disabled toilet facilities, nappy changing facilities and a kitchen for food preparation.

There is a large carpark for drop off and collection.

Funding & Fees

We welcome children from the age of 2 until primary school.

We accept the governments Two year old funding, the 15 hours funding for 3 year olds and the extended 30 hour funding for working parents.

We are also registered for the Tax Free Childcare scheme. More information can be found at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Every child is eligible for fifteen hours government funding beginning the term after their third birthday and the funding terms begin on 1st September, 1st January and 1st April . For example if your child is three years old on the 30th September your child would not be eligible for funding until the following January. Parents do not need to apply for the fifteen hours funding, preschool will give you a form to fill in.

The fifteen funded hours must be taken across three mornings and two afternoons. We cannot guarantee session choices, however, the more notice you can give us the higher the chance of being given your preferred session choices.
